The 2009 Season of "Unto These Hills" ends on August 29. The world famous outdoor drama "Unto These Hills" has chronicled the history of the Cherokee Indians for 60 years, entertaining more than six million visitors since it first opened in 1950. "Unto These Hills" retells Cherokee history from the Cherokee perspective. The popular, family friendly play traces the Cherokee people over a period of several hundred years, through the zenith of their power, through the heartbreak of the Trail of Tears and finally ending in the present day where Cherokee people, much like the new script that was unveiled in 2008, continue to rewrite their place in the world. Last Chance for Horn in the West this Season

The nation's oldest outdoor Revolutionary War drama concludes it's 2009 season on August 15. The play is celebrating its 58th consecutive season, which has been one of the best yet. This exciting theater drama follows a band of settlers led by the infamous Daniel Boone and the British Dr. Geoffrey Stuart as they head west towards dreams of a new life during the turmoil of the Revolutionary War. British aristocrats, brave mountain men and Native Americans fill the stage to give the audience a one-of-a-kind experience that will not be soon forgotten. Join the adventures and learn how a new country was formed on the basis of freedom.

Before the show, visitors can tour around the Hickory Ridge Homestead, the Horn's own living history museum. The site includes authentic 18th century log cabins with period furnishings and artifacts, as well as reenactors who spin yarn, blacksmith, weave cloth and make corn-husk dolls. See the smoke house and the blacksmith's shop, the 18th century working full-sized loom and rustic wooden pig pen. Horn in the West also offers "Dinners with Daniel" on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, an all-you-can-eat buffet style dinner catered by The Daniel Boone Inn.
